What did you have today for breakfast?
Since breakfast is the most important meal of the day, we thought you would like one of our easy and healthy breakfast ideas.
It’s so easy, its only 5 ingredients that you can get at any grocery store and its super quick! And noooo….it’s not cereal!
Try a hot bowl of oatmeal with flaxseed and berries tomorrow morning! It’s loaded with lots of fiber, iron, vitamins….. and a lot more healthy goodies.
You will love it!
Serves: 2 Cook time: 3-5 minutes
1 cup quick oatmeal
2 teaspoons flaxseed
2 cups boiled water (or milk, nut milk)
1/2 cup frozen mixed berries (or just blueberries)
1 banana (half a banana/ per serving, sliced in bite size pieces)
… and flaxseed…
and of course water (or milk) in the pot on medium heat.
Stirring occasionally. Cook until oatmeal looks creamy consistency or desired taste, 3-5 minutes.
While your oatmeal is cooking, defrost the berries in a microwave-safe cup for 30 seconds to 1 minute (depending on the strength of your microwave.)
Pour oatmeal in a bowl, scoop the berries on top and add half a banana to naturally sweeten it up.
