This gluten free chai banana bread is a wholesome rendition of traditional banana bread. Made with wholesome ingredients like coconut oil, protein-packed quinoa flakes and almond flour, raw honey, and Greek yogurt. This delicious, healthy banana bread is so crumbly and moist, you’ll forget it’s gluten free.
The two star ingredients in this chai spiced bread are the almond flour and the chai spice. Almond flour – essentially finely ground almonds, is an excellent substitute for refined flour since it helps maintain the chewy texture of baked goods, and it also adds a rich nutty flavour to this banana bread. As for the chai spice, it goes without saying that it adds a deep earthy flavour and a hint of spice, which makes this banana bread stand out from the rest.
Homemade Chai Spice
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cardamom
1 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp.ground ginger
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
This banana bread is moist, dense, rich, buttery, sweet and was a hit with the entire family. It pairs well with my morning espresso, and my husband dips his into a hot cup of tea. as for the kids, they devour it by the handful!
