Raw, no-bake treats are easy-to-make, practically effortless and require very little prep time.
These peanut butter chocolate oat balls are scrumptious little morsels packed with a ton of flavour, creamy peanut butter, sweet honey, fiber-rich oats, and decadent chocolate chips.
Most of our summer vacations are spent lazing around the beach with the kids. Although this sounds like pure bliss (in theory), it can often be tiring, especially with two little ones to keep up after.
It also involves a ton of organization and preparation on my part when it comes to preparing and packing beach-friendly, on-the-go snacks for myself and the kids. My kids love fresh fruit and yogurt, and since both are so easy to pack up they are usually my go-to portable snack for when we’re on-the-go.
This morning however, I was inspired to switch up snack-time just a bit and surprised them with these delicious, raw treats. The combination of bittersweet chocolate chips, sweet honey, and salty peanut butter makes for an explosion of flavour, in just one two-bite morsel.
do you cook the oatmeal?
No, I don’t! the oats will soak up all the liquid ingredients and soften and stick together!
I’ve made granola balls but a little differently, and it was SO good! I will try your version for lunchbox treats!
Can’t wait to try it! Looking for new healthy snacks! This is so perfect!

I think everyone would have these ingredients on hand…they’re such basic ingredients! Enjoy!
Thanks for sharing this awesome snack! I think they look great and I really appreciate you noting that they can be made with gluten free oats. I am new to being gf and I appreciate your consideration.
No problem…and thanks! You could also try making these with gf puffed rice cereal.

Mmm who doesn’t love peanut butter and chocolate chips? These look really good.
I found a recipe with every single thing I love in one. Peanut butter, chocolate, oats, honey. OMG. Heaven. I rarely make recipes, even when I say I will. These however, are being bookmarked.
Lee
Awesome! Hope you love them as much as we do!
I need to make a batch (or three) of these. The afternoon is the hardest time of day for me to stay on my plan for eating well. Ditching the sugar & staying full with oats & peanut butter is perfect.
I suggest doubling or tripling the recipe!
These look so good. I’m going to have to try these. I crave sweet stuff and the chocolate chips in these will help satisfy.
Yes, they will! These are actually pretty decadent!
These look so tasty! I will have to make them, I know my middle picky eater will like them and they will be some what healthy for him. Score.

Good for you! Make sure you opt for a good quality, all-natural peanut butter, if possible.
Those sound delicious! Peanut butter and chocolate is my all time favorite combination!
Made these last night with 1/2 cashew and 1/2 peanut butter — delicious and kid approved! Thank you for posting!
Ooh, I like the idea of mixing the nut butters!! Glad the kids liked it…thanks for the feedback Kerri 😉
Just made these – wow sooooo delicious! I substituted the peanut butter with cashew butter…awesome and so easy to make! 🙂
