Plant-based skincare is a wonderful way to rejuvenate and maintain the skin naturally. Rosehip oil, one of mother nature’s best kept secrets is no exception. It is full of antioxidants, vitamins, and essential fatty acids that are known to correct dark spots, hydrate dry skin, reduce scars and fine lines, and promote skin regeneration. Rosehip oil has copious amounts of skin benefits, from its anti-aging properties, protection from age spots, and is a natural source of vitamin C which is a skin brightening, anti-ageing antioxidant that helps improve the appearance of pigmentation and restore skin’s tone.
Apoterra Skincare is a an apothecary based in NYC devoted to helping solve adult skincare issues such as adult acne, dry skin, and premature aging. Their philosophy is simple: heal the skin holistically using natural and organic ingredients. They handcraft each product using only fresh and sustainably sourced ingredients and all of their products are based in a blend of herbalism, aromatherapy, and scientific research to provide high quality plant and mineral based skincare. Their product line is extensive, from bath and body aromatherapy, to serums, balms, scrubs, masks, and more. They generously provided me with their Rose Nourishing Serum with Rosehip + CoQ10 in order to facilitate this review.
The Verdict: I am no stranger to rosehip oil products, and have been looking for an authentic, organic, and 100% chemical-free product for quite some time, and I only recently discovered it in Apoterra Skincare. After testing out their Rose Nourishing Serum, I can officially say that they have found a new loyal customer. It is super light, has a deep rich hue, and a delicate floral aroma. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and supple, with a youthful glow. I would recommend this product for middle-aged women and older, since its rich and dense consistency makes it ideal for more mature skin with tends to become drier and thinner with age. The combination of CoQ10, rose extract, and vitamin-rich oils such as rosehip, pomegranate, and evening primrose oils help reduce redness and uneven skin tone, which is one of my main skincare issues. I highly recommend this product, and cannot wait to try more products from Apoterra Skincare’s line.

I haven’t gotten into using oils just yet but I do hear wonderful things about them. I have always preferred home-remedies rather then medication or over the counter. This is the first time i’ve heard about Rosehip Oil. I don’t have many skin issues but I can see myself using this for any dark spots that may occur, which I am sure they will. HAHA.
I agree about the home remedies. I really love what this does for my skin.
I have become so addicted to using oils. They work so great with all the natural benefits. Even works when I use blends for my son’s yummy pains and my skin as well.
This sounds like a great option. My skin is very weird. Sometimes it is very healthy and clear and other times i look and feel liek I am a teenager. I would love to try this product.
Haha! Same here! Rosehip oil definitely helps reduce skin redness from irritation or hormones!
Thanks for introducing me to a new facial oil. My skin has been changing a bit as I get older – it’s a bit drier and the texture requires a bit more exfoliation, serums, and moisturizers than it used to. Rose Hips are so good for you anyway. Why wouldn’t it be good for your face?
That’s why this is perfect for aging skin…it’s an amazing moisturizer!
I am all about learning new things to try. I hate all the chemicals that are in many other things as in reality they start to harm out skin more than heal our skin. Thank you for sharing such an informative post!
Oh I can’t wait to give this a try! I love rose anything .. it’s such a feminine and pretty scent. My favorite tea has rose in it. I also use a few spritzes of rose water on my face in the morning or when I’m feeling in a bit of a funk.
I have been using rosehip oil for a while now, but I am just getting into other rose products. I’m hooked on the aroma!
I definitely need to look into this, I have yet to find a good, healthy, natural, skincare system. I really need something that can address my dry skin, I am going to check the Rose Nourishing Serum with Rosehip + CoQ10 for sure
My skin is ultra sensitive so I am always looking for a product that can keep it tame and less red. I will definitely have to look into this rosehip oil. I love anything natural, organic and gentle for my difficult skin!
Rosehip is so healing for the skin! I had no idea this brand existed. I have very sensitive skin and redness. I defiantly need to look into this.
Many people are getting away from over the counter remedies. I assume some prefer to know exactly what they’re putting on their skin. Some are probably looking for cost-saving DIY remedies. This is a great DIY idea for those that are looking to save money. Thank you for posting this!
It’s unbelievable how inexpensive this product this considering how long it lasts for.
Many over the counter remedies contain chemicals, which, over time, can actually do more harm to your skin than heal it. I appreciate a safe, healthy and natural way to heal acne, dark spots and premature aging. Thank you for posting this!
