Eating is always more fun for toddlers when they can get their hands and fingers dirty! While it’s not easy to watch (or clean up for that matter), it’s a great way for toddlers to develop fine motor skills and also gives moms and dads a bit more freedom at meal times! Be sure to choose foods that are age-appropriate and serve portion sizes according to baby’s age and experience with handling their own food.
This round-up of 20 healthy finger foods for toddlers will have them excited about mealtimes and moms and dads can rest assured that they are providing their children with nutritious foods.

I’m 37….and I love them all, lol!
I think these foods are for all ages they look awesome i would be so tempted to each my child’s food if these were toddler only foods lol.
These are definitely ideal for adults too!
Toddlers or no, these are fabulous finger foods for parties or kids or if you don’t like eating a full supper this be the one…. or two or three…. ~snicker-snicker~ got to mark this page so I can come back and get these recipes especially the zucchini ones and squash … mmmmm thanks for sharing.
Thanks! Hope you enjoy them!
To have a healthy finger food for the kids are awesome – healthy stuff is always much better than the junk and chips ones.
I agree! We as parents need to teach our kids how to live a healthy lifestyle!
I saw quite a few items I’d love. I will have to try the grilled cheese and pesto sandwich. And I love me some quiche. I’ll have to make one tomorrow.
Pesto and cheese are a match made in heaven!!
i dont have kids but i plan onto soon so this is such a great read and tips thanks so much! Just had to share it!!

Omg! I’m bookmarking this page! I struggle with snacks and these are food items my girls will like.. they are not toddlers though 🙂
They’re still picky and they’re NOT toddlers? Poor you, lol!
I see many thing I would attempt to offer my kids! They both have texture issues with eating but thankfully they are willing to at least TRY something for the first or second time. Those zucchini chips look awesome!
Great! I hope you do!
This is seriously an awesome list!! I have been trying new foods for my one year old lately and I am running out of ideas!
Glad you love the recipes! You should also check out the Baby Bites and Toddler Bites section on my Blog 😉
Super list of food ideas! Coming up with food options is not always easy — this should make it easier.
This is such a great list!! Pinning so I can reference this later :):)
Awesome, thanks!
Am sharing this with my niece, she is the one with toddlers in the house. The recipes look awesome.
Thanks for sharing! Fyi, I make most of these for myself and save a portion for the kids 😉
No toddlers here but these look yummy. Really want to try those pumpkin oatmeal bars.
I make those for myself…I have them for breakfast or pack them up for a mid-morning or afternoon snack!
All of them looked delicious and inviting. I could see adults enjoying these too. Have bookmarked this post.

Thanks! And yes, they ARE for adults!
Some of these look like I would love them also. I will send this off to my niece–her baby will be a toddler very soon!
Actually, I’ve prepared all of these for my husband and I (except for the cereal!) We eat these meals on a regular basis!
Love the idea of the fritatta. My grandson loves eggs, so I bet we could mix in a few of his favorite veggies and he’d be all set!
It’s so easy to eat too…just chop into little chunks!
These all look delicious and it’s great that they are healthy. It’s hard to find tasty recipes for the little ones that are healthy.
I love making fritatas but have never made them with zucchini, just the usual potatoes. Love the burger meatballs too. I once made them with blue cheese into the mix before frying, and they were nice!
I often make my frittatas with leftover veggies in the crisper…most usually red peppers, zucchini, mushrooms, onions, and or potatoes. The addition of chorizo (or even ham) adds texture and flavour! I LOVE the idea of stuffing meatballs with cheese! YUM!
Yum to everything. I’m always so inspired by all that you make for your family Lisa.
Thanks Monica!
Going to have to try some of these if only for my grandson when he comes over. Looks tasty.
My girls are way pass the toddler stage but OMG these look good for the whole family! And the best part is they are healthy. Can’t wait to give a few of them a try!
They are for the family…just easy to eat for toddlers! Most of my recipes are family meals that are modified for baby or toddlers!
Those eggplant fries look delish! I make my daughter zucchini fries and she loves them!!!
Wow these look amazing, hope my toddler would eat them! She’s so fussy! 🙁 it’s so difficult getting anything in that tiny body.
My son went through that for over a year!! It’s crazy how they go in spurts…he wouldn’t touch quinoa or rice, now he loves it! And just last night he asked me if he could taste raw kale and canned chickpeas…and he like them?!!
My toddler is SUCH a picky eater! These will be so helpful. The date brownies are good!
Mine has become pickier…and he’s rubbing off on his younger sister! The things I think he’ll eat, he doesn’t…and other things he will, like tonight for exampe, canned chickpeas??!
These all look like wonderful recipes! I can’t wait to try some of them!
These look like great food choices! Lots of great variety to choose from and all simple to make.
Thank you for the ideas! My son is very hands on with his food so this would be more fun for him
Aren’t they all?! lol! Actually, mine are pretty clean when they eat!
Wow that’s a lot of different food my kiddos have never had before. I will have to make some of these.
It’s nice to provide them with variety every once in a while 😉
I find this list very helpful, children’s now is very hard to get an appetite. The Mini Ham Spinach Quiches is my favorite.
My kids loved those! They really enjoyed making them with me too!
no matter what I ate before I come to your blog, I always get hungry 😉 Some day I am going to be your neighbour and taste tester
One day I might be able to send you a care package!
What a great compilation of recipes! Definitely bookmarking this for later!
This food looks amazing. I will have to try the Sweet Potato Broccoli Burgers first.

My kids are no longer toddlers but they still love to eat with the hands!! All of these foods look amazing!
Lol! Adults do too sometimes, don’t they?!
I love the coconut cinnamon french toast sticks; that would be so yummy for breakfast!
Yes, or any meal for thar matter! The last time I made those was for dinner 😉
You’ve got so many good ideas here. I would love to see you and my DIL get in the kitchen and collaborate together. You’ve got the same ideas for little ones and I bet it’d be fun. That being said, I want to try the zucchini medallions for me! ha!
Thank you! Does she happen to have a Blog too?! lol!
She does not. She and her sister toyed with a collaborative food blog idea, but nothing came of it. Maybe some day. 🙂
I’m going to try the zucchini medalions and the sesame bars. Thanks for sharing these delicious AND healthy finger foods.
I do prefer the zucchini medallions fried (they’re extra crunchy!) but baked is delicious too. You could serve them with marinara sauce too. As for the sesame bars, they’re my new fave!
These are all great ideas….unless you have picky kids like I did. My kids loved chicken nuggets and hot dogs when they were little,.
Mine never had the option so they started off eating foods like this…of course they have their picky moment but all in all they’re good eaters!
These are really great ideas. I had no idea that you could feed the kiddos so many interesting things.
They’re mostly recipes I made for myself and the kids ended up loving them!
